Air Freight
Do you want to ship your goods by air safely and quickly? Contact us and we will find the most efficient and fastest routes to your destination. AHA Logistics has over fifteen years of experience in managing air freight shipments worldwide. We work with all IATA-approved airlines.
Air freight is commonly used for urgent industrial spare parts and components, where delays could halt production. Electronics and other high-value goods also benefit from the speed and security of air transport. In addition, air freight is an excellent solution for temperature-sensitive products such as pharmaceuticals and vaccines, where controlled conditions are critical.
Air freight is often the best option for shipping samples, prototypes, and other urgent customer consignments when goods need to arrive quickly and reliably.

Urgent shipment anywhere in the world?
We operate in accordance with the General Conditions of the Nordic Association of Freight Forwarders (NSAB 2015).
We provide personal monitoring and checks of cargo movements. If any changes occur, we are the first to react—finding and requesting alternative transport solutions to keep schedules on track. We are responsible for air freight documentation and tracking throughout the entire transport process.
We prepare and manage all required documents, such as air waybills and customs clearance documents, ensuring they comply with airline and authority requirements.
Urgent shipments—such as spare parts or components for project sites and construction locations—are handled quickly with AHA Logistics’ express air freight service. We deliver shipments worldwide by air, and express solutions are available even at short notice.
We tailor the best possible solution for each shipment, which may include air freight combined with other modes of transport.
The cost of air freight is essentially based on three main elements:
- Weight and volumetric weight, distance, seasonality, urgency, fuel surcharge, and the nature of the goods
- Pricing is based on the higher value: actual weight or chargeable (volumetric) weight, if the shipment is light but takes a lot of space
- Distance between the origin and destination countries
- Seasons, demand, and airline capacity drive dynamic pricing
- Urgent shipments are always priced separately
- Special shipments—such as dangerous goods, valuables, or cargo requiring special handling—incur additional costs due to extra requirements
- Fuel Surcharge (FSC), which some airlines define separately
Airlines apply a Security Surcharge (SSC) to cover cargo inspection, monitoring, and security arrangements. Terminal handling charges include services such as unloading, loading, storage, and documentation.
The freight forwarder’s service covers the practical handling of the shipment and the arrangement of all related documentation and inspections, ensuring the cargo is accepted for air transport and forwarded without delays.
These services include, among others:
· Documentation and air waybills
· Verification of export and import documents
· Cargo space booking and transport chain coordination
· Coordination of terminal handling
· Security and export formalities
Goods shipped by air must be carefully packed to ensure they are well supported and securely enclosed. If the shipment contains dangerous goods defined for air transport—such as batteries, aerosol cans, paints, or oils—these can be transported by air, but they must be packed according to specific instructions and require additional documentation.
We provide our customers with guidance and instructions on proper packaging.
